The University of Basrah is contributing in the Iraqi Silicon Valley project
Three professors from the Department of Chemistry (Dr. Zaki Nasir, Dr. Athir Haddad, and Dr. Widdad Saleh Hanoosh) along with other Iraqi institutes are working on developing the silicon industry in Iraq.
